Whether you’ve just started your business or have been doing it for a while, you’ll soon come to the realization that you can’t do everything by yourself. And you shouldn’t! For you to run a successful business and grow as an entrepreneur, it’s going to take a team of qualified and reliable people to help you. One such person you’ll need on your team is a Virtual Assistant. Finding and hiring a qualified VA isn’t hard, but it can be time consuming. And as a busy business owner, do you have those extra hours to try and find someone?
One thing to consider before you jump in with both feet is…
“Do I really need to outsource at this time?”
Here are 2 questions to ask yourself:
1 – Am I really good at this task? So good, it takes me no time at all to do it?
If the answer is “no”, put it on the list. If a task such as, creating email campaigns takes you half the day to do, when someone else can do it in an hour, you’re not very good at it. Hand it over to someone else and take back that time!
Examples include: anything techie, creating graphics, presentations
2 – Do I despise (or procrastinate) doing this task?
If the answer is “yes”, add it to the list. If it’s a daily, weekly, or monthly repetitive task that you absolutely hate doing, it’s time to stop doing it and let someone else take care of it.
Examples include: bookkeeping, commission payments, trying to schedule appointments
If you’re looking to get some assistance in 2017, remember you don’t have to outsource everything all at once. Start small. Pick a couple of tasks that you can easily pass off to someone else. As time goes on, you’ll see you can hand off more and more, leaving you more time for revenue generating tasks = MAKING MONEY!
